Netflix cracked disc!?
I was opening the mailer and the disc slipped and hit the floor.....
It didn't appear damaged at first,but then my DVD player rejected it.Upon closer examination a hair line crack was caused by my mistake! I ALWAYS take care of all CD's,clean them and hold them properly...but this time I admit my mistake.Do I have to pay for it now?
You can mail it back and claim it was damaged upon receipt. If it is your first time, they should send you a replacement disc without a problem. However if you do that too often they may put a hold on your account or cancel it altogether.
Or you can do the honest thing and let them know you damaged the disc and they will charge you a small fee for it, and your account will remain "clean" with them. In that case they will send you a replacement disc as well and you can watch it with a clear conscience.
